On the morning of June 10th, we visited our second school, Shastry Memorial School. This school is considered much more affluent than the first school we visited. Like in most schools in India, students start their day in a general assembly that includes announcements, prayer, and exercise. We toured the school facilities and then went outside to watch the students play a game of Kabbadi, while enjoying coconut milk from coconut trees growing on the property.
On Day 4, we took a walking tour of Bangalore's Old City and culture walk through Basavanagudi.
After our school visit, we went back to the hotel for a presentation by Dr. Narendar Pani, Professor from the National Institute of Advanced Studies on Identifying with India: an overview of its politics, culture, and economics.
